 Tuningbox is a highly specialised designer and producer of add-on boxes. The company continues to expand within a sector in which it is now one of the established leaders. The aim of Tuningbox is to offer a high quality engine-tuning product. Based in Faymonville, close to the Spa-Francorchamps motor racing circuit, in the heart of the Belgian Ardennes, the company's head office is particularly well situated, within easy reach of the German, Luxembourg and Dutch borders. Tuningbox Sprl (originally Hermann Tuning) was created by Didier Hermann in 1988 At the time, it was a diagnostic centre specialising in the optimisation of engine electronics, but the growing demand for engine tuning, and in particular chip tuning, quickly encouraged Didier Hermann to become involved in this field His idea was to offer an alternative tuning system that was accessible to all and easy to install. An idea that quickly became a reality with the invention of an add-on module intended to increase the power of engines fitted with a turbo. The Tuningbox was born! Tuningbox Sprl is one of the first companies to have produced and sold add-on boxes (since 1995!).     It is important to realise that modern engines are so technically advanced, that the slightest error, such as simply a poor connection, could prove disastrous. It is for this reason that the Tuningbox must be fabricated with meticulous care. Also, it is only once the boxes are fully assembled that the software is installed. In this way they can be reprogrammed at any time and thus be adapted to match the constant improvements made to the programs used by the car manufacturers. This reprogramming is carried out by particularly skilled engineers specialising in software and hardware development     Details concerning the production of our connectors? Another important detail concerning this programming is that all Tuningbox units are governed by the same principle which increases the amount of fuel injected but does not in any way alter the injection pressure The latter solution would be easier to implement than the procedure used, but is also significantly less safe. One of the essential requirements of the Tuningbox is to be fitted with connectors that are fully compliant with the original equipment manufacturer's connectors. Given the difficultly, or even the impossibility of obtaining certain plugs from the car manufacturers, Tuningbox invests an enormous amount in the production of its own plugs (which are produced using a very expensive injection process, guaranteeing a quality and resistance equal to that of the original product). Exponential growth All of which explains why, within the space of ten years or so, Hermann Tuning has expanded considerably. It now offers Tuning Boxes for 21 makes of car and 134 different models.
