What are the differences between the Comfort, Medium and Dynamic packages?
We use different technologies for our boxes. The Comfort box optimises a single engine component, while the Medium and Dynamic boxes optimise several engine components simultaneously. The Dynamic box also provides access to a mobile application.
How do the add-on Tuning Boxes work?
The Tuning Boxes are installed between the control unit and the engine to intercept and optimise the information flow. This optimisation leads to an increase in torque and power and a reduction in fuel consumption.
Can I reduce fuel consumption and increase power and torque at the same time?
Yes, the Tuning Boxes intercept and optimise the flow of information between the control unit and the engine. Our boxes, therefore, improve the efficiency of the engine. This means you can shift up a gear quicker, because your vehicle runs at lower engine speeds. The efficiency of the injection, and, therefore, of the combustion, is also improved. This optimisation leads to an increase in torque and power. Compared to a standard vehicle, and considering driving at the same speed, these two factors result in a significant reduction in fuel consumption.
Will my car emit black smoke with an add-on box?
No. Our technologies are optimised for the characteristics of each vehicle. They, therefore, allow you to benefit from the optimal performance of your engine, while respecting anti-pollution standards.
My engine is new (running in). Is it safe to connect a box to it?
Yes, our boxes are adapted to the characteristics of each vehicle, so running-in is not necessary. However, we recommend not activating the highest intensity level during the first few kilometres with the vehicle.
Is it possible to install a Tuning Box product on all types of engines?
Petrol, diesel and hybrid engines can be optimised with an add-on Tuning Box. Our boxes are not yet available for 100% electric engines. Our Research and Development team is currently working on this, so we hope to offer you a suitable solution soon. The Tune Pedal is perfectly suited to all vehicles, even electric ones.
Are Tuning Box products compatible with all the standard equipment on my vehicle?
Yes, the Tuning Box add-on boxes work perfectly with all the standard equipment and safety systems of your vehicle (ABS, traction control, ESP, Cruise Control, Stop and Start, etc.).
Are Tuning Box products compatible with all types of gearboxes?
Yes, Tuning Box add-on units work perfectly with all types of gearbox (manual, automatic or robotised).
Can the add-on box damage my engine or affect its lifespan?
No. All our products respect the power reserves provided by the manufacturers. For almost 35 years, our customers have driven millions of kilometres without ever noticing any problems or particular wear with their engine components. We offer you a 1-year engine warranty with the Medium box and a 2-year warranty with the Dynamic box.
Do the add-on Tuning Boxes interfere with the different driving modes (Eco, Sport...) of my vehicle?
Not at all! On the contrary, as they optimise the performance of your engine, the Tuning Box add-on boxes allow you to take full advantage of the different driving modes of your vehicle and give you the choice between several levels of intensity. The Dynamic by Tuning Box also allows you, via its mobile application, to switch off your box at any time, or to select only one driving mode (“Sport”, for example).
Do you have a box specifically adapted to my vehicle?
Yes, the programming of a control unit depends on the engine with which it interacts. We, therefore, develop specific software for each engine. Before your order is dispatched, our technical department updates the latest version of the software available for your vehicle. You can check the availability of our boxes by configuring your vehicle here.
I can't find the make or model of my car in your vehicle selector.
It is possible that some vehicles are not yet in our Tuning Box catalogue if the development of our software for that model is still ongoing. You can contact our customer service to obtain more information and be notified when the additional box of your choice is available for your vehicle.
Is it possible to do a power test with my car on one of your power banks?
Of course! All of our customers are welcome to visit our Diagnostic Centre in Faymonville, Belgium. We will be happy to carry out a “before and after” test for you while installing the box. This power test service is offered to you within one month after the purchase of a Tuning Box. To take advantage of this service, please make an appointment with our technical department:
After installation, is it possible to return the vehicle to its original state?
Yes, you can disconnect your add-on box at any time in just a few minutes and reconnect the original plugs in order to return the vehicle to its original state. The Medium box can be deactivated via the keypad on its shell, without uninstalling it. The Dynamic box can also be uninstalled with one click via its mobile application. The use of a box leaves no trace, once removed from the vehicle, even during a visit to the dealer when a diagnostic device is connected.
Can I uninstall and reinstall my box as many times as I want?
Yes, you can disconnect and reconnect your add-on unit at any time. Installing or disconnecting a Tuning Box (or Tune Pedal) only takes a few minutes and does not cause any damage to the product or your vehicle. If you change your vehicle, it may also be possible to reuse your box (either as it is if the engine characteristics are identical, or by reprogramming your additional box and possibly purchasing a new cable).

I'm changing vehicles. Can I reuse my Tuning Box add-on unit on my new vehicle?
This depends on the engine characteristics of the two vehicles. If they are identical, you will be able to re-use your add-on box straight away. However, if your engines have different characteristics, it may be necessary to buy new wiring or reprogram your Tuning Box.

What is the difference between an add-on box and engine reprogramming?
Engine reprogramming, also known as “chiptuning”, consists of modifying the vehicle’s computer data without adding any external hardware. This method requires a visit to a specialist and can be more expensive. Unfortunately, it also affects your manufacturer’s warranty, since some car brands can see this reprogramming directly by connecting to your on-board computer or ECU.
The add-on unit is an optimised device that is connected to the engine by a simple cable. It is a safe solution that allows you to enjoy maximum excitement at a minimal cost. You can easily install it yourself and disconnect or reconnect it at any time, for example, before you go to the garage or for a technical inspection, without compromising your safety systems or your engine warranty.

How do I buy a Tuning Box add-on unit?

What exactly is a Tune Pedal?
The Tune Pedal is a Pedal Box that optimises the response time of your accelerator pedal and eliminates the latency between the pressure on the pedal and the response of your engine. The result is a new driving experience with more direct and dynamic acceleration.
Is it useful to install a Tune Pedal in addition to a Tuning Box?
Absolutely, because these two products are complementary. The Tune Pedal affects the responsiveness of your accelerator pedal, while the additional Tuning Boxes optimise the performance of your engine. To get the best possible results from your vehicle and to take advantage of its full potential, we recommend that you opt for one of our Packs, which include the Tune Pedal and an add-on box: the Comfort Pack, the Medium Pack or the Dynamic Pack.
Is the Tune Pedal compatible with the particulate filter (DPF)?
Yes, all our add-on units and our Tune Pedal work perfectly with all current emission control systems (particulate filters, AdBlue, etc.).
Will the Tune Pedal damage my gearbox?
No, because all our products are designed to meet the manufacturer’s standards and tolerances for each vehicle. Our Tune Pedal and boxes never exceed the limits of your car, so there is no risk of damage or abnormal wear.
Does the Tune Pedal work on petrol engines?
Yes! In fact, it is the only accessory that works on naturally aspirated petrol engines!
Does the Tune Pedal affect the power of my vehicle?
No, because the Tune Pedal only affects your accelerator pedal, not your engine.
Does the Tune Pedal affect my insurance and vehicle certification?
No, because the Tune Pedal does not change the power of your vehicle. The installation of the Tune Pedal will not affect your insurance or vehicle certification.
Guarantees
Do you offer a guarantee on the engine and its main components?
Yes, Tuning Box offers you an engine guarantee that covers the majority of its components (cylinder block, camshaft, gearbox, etc.). The duration of the engine guarantee is 1 year with the Medium box and 2 years with the Dynamic box. It applies even after the manufacturer’s warranty has expired. Yes, our Tuning Boxes and Tune Pedal are very easy to install, thanks to a “Plug & Drive” system. This system allows you to do the installation in just a few minutes, without any tools or prior technical knowledge. You will also receive installation instructions.

Deliveries and returns
Is it possible to place an order from my country?
Tuning Box delivers to most countries in the world. You can find a complete list of countries we deliver to here.
What are the delivery costs?
Standard delivery is offered in Europe. For the rest of the world, standard delivery costs €19.99. An additional €9.99 is charged for Express delivery.
Can I track the delivery status of my order?
Yes, your tracking number is included in your order confirmation email and in your Tuning Box customer account. If you cannot find your tracking number, you can contact our customer service. To follow the progress of your package, go to the carrier’s website and enter your tracking number.
When will I receive my order?
If your order is placed before 10:00 am, we will dispatch it the same day. The delivery time varies according to the destination. In Europe, please allow 1 to 4 working days.
